INDO INTERTEX 2026 Wraps Up in Jakarta, Reaffirming Southeast Asia’s Leading Platform for Textile Innovation

JAKARTA – The 22nd edition of INDO INTERTEX, Southeast Asia’s largest trade exhibition for the textile and garment industries, concluded successfully on April 18, 2026, at the Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo) Kemayoran. Held from April 15 to 18, the four-day event brought together 800 exhibitors from 28 countries and regions, showcasing over 1,500 international brands and attracting approximately 35,000 professional visitors.

At the opening ceremony, Indonesia’s Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita dismissed the notion that the textile sector is a “sunset industry,” declaring it a “sunrise” industry. He noted that textile and textile product exports in 2025 grew 3.55 percent year-on-year to US$12.08 billion. Trade Minister Budi Santoso also highlighted the strength and competitiveness of Indonesia’s textile ecosystem.

The exhibition featured the latest advancements in sustainable machinery, digital printing technologies, and AI-driven automation solutions. Concurrent events such as INDO TEXPRINT and INDO DYECHEM further reinforced industry collaboration across the full textile value chain.

A “Build Your Brand” initiative was launched to support small and medium enterprises in enhancing branding capabilities and expanding market access, while industry leaders emphasized the strategic importance of agility, efficiency, and technological transformation to navigate global supply chain challenges. As the region’s premier textile industry hub, INDO INTERTEX 2026 successfully provided a vital platform for global innovation exchange and sustainable business partnerships.
